Assign or Share Worlds and Lessons
Educators and students can share worlds and lessons through Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and by email or a copy of a link that can be pasted to your preferred tool. This allows you to browse all the great content in the in-game library and on the Minecraft: Education Edition website and share it easily with your students in a fast and exciting way! This article provides information on how to share a world from the in-game library and how to share lessons from the Minecraft: Education Edition website.
Assign or share a world from the in-game Library
Follow these steps to share a world from the in-game library.
- From the Play menu, select View Library.
- Navigate to the world you want to assign or share.
- Educators, select Assign or Share. Students, select Share Link.
- To add a link to an assessment tool or resource like a Flipgrid Topic, Microsoft Forms quiz, or a website.
- Click Add a Resource.
- Enter the URL for the resource and a name for the button.
- Click Done.
- Select your method of sharing:

Result: The link is shared and the recipients can access your world by opening the link. When the students open the link, a web browser opens and attempts to open the Library page in Minecraft: Education Edition. Students select Create World when they’re ready to begin.
Note: Students may need to confirm that it's ok to open Minecraft. If Minecraft: Education Edition isn't installed, they can follow the directions on the page to download and install it.
Assign or share a lesson from the Minecraft: Education Edition website
Follow these steps to share a lesson from the Minecraft: Education Edition website.
- Select Class Resources > Find a Lesson.
- Browse the lessons for the one you want to use.
- Select View Lesson.
- Click Share or Assign.
