Manage Licenses for Camps, Clubs, Homeschool and Other Organizations
The Microsoft 365 Admin Center is where you manage individual licenses that you purchased through our Camps and Clubs program.
Note: If you are not sure which type of license you have, contact our support team and we'll help you out!
View available licenses
Follow these steps to view the Minecraft: Education Edition licenses you have available.
- Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account.
- From the left-hand menu, select Admin.
Result: You’re redirected to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center page. - From the left-hand menu, go to Billing > License and select the Minecraft: Education Edition license.
- Review the number of Available licenses and Assigned licenses.

Assign a license - Individual Licenses
Follow these steps to assign a license to a user. Use this procedure if you purchased the Minecraft: Education Edition licenses individually.
- Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account.
- From the left-hand menu, select Admin.
Result: You’re redirected to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center page. - From the left-hand menu, go to Billing > License and select the Minecraft: Education Edition license.
- Select Assign licenses.
- If you have not created user accounts, follow these instructions to create a user account and assign a license: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/add-users/add-users
- If you have existing user accounts, enter the name or email address of the user to whom you are assigning the license and click Assign.
Unassign a license - Individual Licenses
Follow these steps to remove a license from a user. Use this procedure if you assigned the Minecraft: Education Edition licenses directly to a user.
- Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account.
- From the left-hand menu, select Admin.
Result: You’re redirected to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center page. - From the left-hand menu, go to Billing > License and select the Minecraft: Education Edition license.
- From the Users list, select the users you want to remove the license from and click Unassign licenses.
- Click Unassign to confirm the action.
Result: The license is unassigned from the user. The user is still able to sign into Minecraft: Education Edition for 7 days after the license is unassigned.
