Mentor Program and Badges
How can I get help with my badges?
- Community Badge: After signing up for your Minecraft Education Community Profile, you will be awarded the Community badge! If this badge isn't showing up on your profile, open a request with the support desk.
- Certified Badge: If you have not received your certified badge please ensure that it has been at least 48 hours since your completion of the of the Minecraft: Education Edition Teacher Academy course. Also ensure that your Minecraft Education Community and Microsoft Educator Center profiles are using the same email address and that you do not have any duplicate Minecraft Education profiles. If the above all appears to be applicable and you still do not have a badge please open a request with the support desk.
- Mentor Badge: We are currently reviewing Mentor applications and we will contact you once we have determined your status.
What are the benefits of becoming a Global Minecraft Mentor?
As a Global Minecraft Mentor you’ll have a chance to connect and build relationships with some of the most inspiring game-based learning educators and experts from around the world. In addition, Mentors gain early access to new features and sign ups for Beta opportunities.
What are the requirements for becoming a Global Minecraft Mentor?
Educators must first unlock the Community and Certified badges via aka.ms/joinmee before applying to be a Global Minecraft Mentor. Once the first two badges are unlocked and you've committed to becoming an active and positive member of the Global Minecraft Mentor Community, an invitation will be sent via Teams if you're accepted.
How does the application process work?
Applications are reviewed by the end of every month, once you’ve unlocked the Community and Certified badges, you can apply via the link under 'Minecraft Mentor' badge via aka.ms/joinmee.
How will I be notified about the status of my application?
Your application will be reviewed before the end of the month, then you'll receive an email stating whether or not you’ve been accepted.
What if my bandwidth or time I can provide for the program changes once I’ve been accepted?
In this case, email us or send a private message via Mentor Teams so we can discuss and decide together whether this is a good year for you to be part of the program.
